The Faculty of Construction and Technology began to function in 1956. It was found as a separate unit based on training engineers in speciality of “Construction Products and Components”, which was introduced in 1944 at the Faculty of Construction of the Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute. The main activity area of the new Faculty was training specialists in the speciality of “Production of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Products and Structures”. The first output of engineers-technologists took place in 1959. In future many of them became production managers, leading designers, and scientists.

The mission of the Faculty is to train highly qualified specialists who acquire innovative knowledge in the field of construction materials production, construction and sale of buildings, construction, commodity science, able to creatively use their knowledge and improve their professional experience. 18 professors and 33 associate professors work at the departments of the Faculty. 
Graduates of leading enterprises, companies and corporations are invited to participate in the training process.

Students of the Faculty win prize places in Ukrainian competitions and contests, participate in scientific and practical conferences, charitable events, sports competitions and dance competitions.
Researchers of the Faculty have the opportunity to participate in internships and trainings due to grants of the European Union in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Israel, Belgium, Greece, and Poland.

For 65 years of activity, the Faculty has trained more than 6000 specialists in the speciality of “Technology of Building Structures, Products And Materials” and more than 400 of the specialization “Commodity Science and Commercial Activity”, as well as about 300 candidates of technical sciences and 16 doctors of technical sciences.
