The strategic goal of the Faculty is staffing in the construction and related industries, provision of education and encouragement to pursue science by qualified persons with a high level of professional, creative and social activity.

The activity of the Faculty is based on four basic principles of world university rankings:

  • academic and scientific reputation;
  • reputation of faculty graduates among employers;
  • academic mobility of students and lecturers;
  • quantitative and qualitative level of scientific works citation.

The history of the Faculty starts from the date of Kyiv Polytechnic University establishment (1898), where the first sanitation department was found, which became a structural division of Kyiv Construction Institute in 1930, and since 1944 has acquired the status of its faculty. For a long time, the name of the faculty was “Sanitation Faculty”, and in 2014 it was renamed to the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology.

Currently, there are five departments at the Faculty. Training is conducted in five specialities. There is a Specialized Academic Council for the Protection of Doctoral and Candidate dissertations in D 26.056.07 specialities at the Faculty.
